A Randomized Comparison of Cleerly Coronary Artery Disease Stage-Based Care Versus Risk Factor-Based Care for Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Events (TRANSFORM)

Status: Recruiting

This research study is testing whether using heart artery imaging and personalized treatment plans can better prevent heart attacks and other heart-related problems in people at higher risk for heart disease, even if they do not have symptoms. The study includes adults with diabetes, prediabetes, or metabolic syndrome and compares this approach to standard care based only on traditional risk factors.

Sex: Male or Female
Age: 18 years and over
Healthy Volunteers:
This study is NOT accepting healthy volunteers
Inclusion Criteria:

• Men over the age of 55, women over the age of 65
• Must have type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, or metabolic syndrome
Exclusion Criteria:

• History of established cardiovascular disease
• Decreased kidney function
• Allergy to contrast
• LDL of <70 mg/dL
